BLOK is a digital wellbeing app that helps you limit app usage through NFC-based blocking. We do not collect, store or transmit any personal data. Everything BLOK does happens entirely on your device.

Accessibility Service

BLOK uses the Android Accessibility Service with the sole purpose of detecting when you open an app you have chosen to block. This service:

Notification access

If you enable notification blocking, BLOK uses the Notification Listener Service exclusively to hide notifications from apps you have blocked, while blocking is active. Notification content is never read, stored or transmitted.

NFC

BLOK uses NFC exclusively to toggle app blocking on and off. NFC communication is local between your device and the NFC tag. No information is transmitted to the internet.

Permissions

Security

All data is stored in the app's private storage, protected by the Android security system. No data is accessible to other applications.

Children's privacy

BLOK does not collect data from anyone, including children. The app contains no ads, no in-app purchases and no external links to third-party services.
